Solo exhibition at Kennedy Heights Arts Center

A selection of portraits from my ongoing project documenting modernist women artists and writers will be on view in the Lindner Gallery of the Kennedy Heights Arts Center in Cincinnati, Ohio, April 11—August 15, 2020. The exhibition opens Saturday, April 11th with opening reception 6—8:00 pm. I will give a talk about the women included in the project on Saturday, April 25th. just to be alive: group exhibition at 1628

I have two paintings in this spring exhibition highlighting women artists from the region, at the 1628 co-working Space Gallery, downtown Cincinnati. The title is from Invitation, a poem by Mary Oliver. Thanks to Tamara and Meggie for bringing us all together. Opening reception is March 7 and the show remains up until June 1, 2019. Chro Ma: four-person exhibition at 1628

I have some new work included in this four-person exhibition at 1628 Ltd through the summer. 1628 is a beautiful co-op workspace in downtown Cincinnati that hosts quarterly art exhibitions. Solo exhibition at Sinclair College

Some of my portraits from my Modernism Project are on view in the Triangle Gallery at Sinclair College in Dayton, Ohio, from November 7 -- December 6, 2017. There are thirty paintings and corresponding biographical information, providing an opportunity to inform, raise awareness about the contributions these women made during a very pivotal period in the arts. The gallery is located on the 4th floor in the art department, building 13, at the corner of Perry and 5th Street, downtown Dayton. Opening hours are 8:00--8:00. For information.

She Inspires: group exhibition at Untitled Space

I have two paintings, including this one of modernist American poet Marianne Moore (part of my Modernism Project), in the group exhibition, She Inspires, curated by Indira Cesarine at the Untitled Space gallery in NYC. The show opens May 2, 2017 and runs until June. The wide range of work honors women who have made a positive impact on the world and includes some notable artists / activists. Interview with Nishiki Sugawara-Beda

I recently interviewed artist Nishiki Sugawara-Beda to coincide with her solo exhibition, Words Walking, in the Doris Ullmann Gallery at Berea College.
